How To Inexpensively Create, less than $1.00, A Business Tag For Your Handbag

How to inexpensively create, less than $1.00, a business tag for your handbag

When you are a blogger or own your own business, advertising your brand is daunting and expensive.

In this blog post, I share with you a simple and inexpensive idea to promote your business.

When out and about in your hometown, design this tag with your logo or business logo as an attention and conversation starting point.

Place on a diaper bag, your everyday handbag, a brief case, or just use as a key chain when a bag is not necessary.

As people ask you about your tag and what it represents, you can create a dialogue about your business.

For less than $1.00.

Materials you need:

A logo designed on a piece of computer paper
Self laminating sheets purchased from the Dollar Tree
Paper punch
Ribbon or small chain to attach to your bag of choice.

After creating your design logo for the business tag, cut the computer paper to the size appropriate for the size of your bag.

Then place the paper logo in the self laminating sleeve. Follow the instructions on the package of the self laminating cards.

If you have a laminating machine, just follow the same steps.

Cut off the extra laminated card around the paper logo. Leave plenty of edge around the paper. The first time I created my business tag, I cut too close to the logo paper, and the tag came apart.

Using a hole punch, punch a hole for the ribbon or small chain.

Slip the chain through the hole and attach to your bag of choice.

The ideas for tags are endless. You can also laminate a business card and attach that to your bag or use as a key chain.

Follow these simple steps and you can create a tag to start a conversation and get the word out about your business.

For less than $1.00.

  1. I have done this, too, Kathy. It is a great little bit for self-promotion. I also have a tote that has a 'window pocket' on the front of it and I use that for display also. xo Diana
