The Mix n Match Style Challenge by Mid Century Modern

I accepted the Mix n Match Style Challenge presented by Mid Century Modern. This challenge requires you to assemble a styleboard via Polyvore with items from Chairish, an exclusive, curator approved, online marketplace for vintage and used furniture.
Please stop by and check out their website.

I created this styleboard based on a vintage clock that caught my eye. The straight lines of the wooden blocks versus the circular form of the “sunburst,” offered me the opportunity to choose different styles of furniture and decor that reflected the eclectic look for the Mix n Match Challenge.

Searching through the website, I found vintage furniture that matched the colors, style, and form of the vintage clock. I focused on living room furniture for the styleboard I created.

The straight lines of the couch, chairs, and end tables match the straight lines in the clock and mirror. The floor lamps have a straight wooden pole with round lamp shades. The furniture sits up off the floor on wooden legs. The square shaped pillow has a semi circle design that matches the shapes and colors of the other furniture.

These earth tone colors compliment each other with their subtle hues. The focal point in the style board is the vintage clock. Each piece of furniture and decor that surrounds the clock can be mixed and matched accordingly, which offers a comfortable and relaxing living room space.

I want to thank Holly for this opportunity to participate in the Mix n Match Challenge. Using the styleboard gave me new perspective with how to style and coordinate a room.
