My Easy To Recreate Birthday Card

My mother-in-law's birthday is just around the corner. I grabbed my scrapbooking supplies and got to work creating a birthday card just for her. I have seen many handmade cards on-line and on Pinterest using white card stock. I have always used a dark card stock as my focus color. This time, I wanted to try something a little different. Shake it up a little, so to say. I was pleased with my end result.

I gathered together the colors of card stock and supplies that I wanted to use.

I chose a pretty, burgundy color card stock for the background color. I used white as my main focus color. I gathered together the stamps I wanted to use on the card. I wanted to use the wheelbarrow stamp, but the words on the stamp were not what I wanted printed on the card. I used scotch tape, covered the wording, pressed the stamp in the ink, and took the tape off. I was then able to use this stamp, creating my desired look for the card.

I glued everything together. Then, I used colored Sharpie pens to color in the flowers and little bird. I hand drew some decorative swirls in the corners. The card was finished and ready to send in the mail.

I liked the fresh look of the card using white card stock.

Everyone, thank you for reading
Have a blessed day!
